Then & Now

One of my first tool-shaded dolls and first attempts at a historical doll. I've always loved the fashion during Elizabeth I's youth, though I clearly didn't research it much before making this doll. She's not accurate at all except maybe the necklaces, the shading is terrible, the makeup is too bright and the base is very cartoonish.

Muuuch better, though still not my best. I actually did a little research this time. All that I really kept from the original was a similar colorscheme.

Because my third doll was Snow White, she's always been a sort of milemarker of progress for me. This is the original, made in MSPaint with almost no shading and terrible lines. But at least you can tell who it is... sort of :p

This was my second attempt, shortly after I started toolshading. The folds on the skirt are shodding, but at least they're there. She became more detailed, though I still left out quite a bit.

My most recent attempt, from 2006 I think. Like the first this is pixel shading, but the colors are SO much better, the detail's better, the shading is better, and basically everything about this doll is SO MUCH BETTER.
